» Praise and Worship
The Worship Arts ministry of First Baptist Church has two main
purposes. First, and most importantly, to bring glory to
the name of Jesus Christ in all that we do. Whether it is
the praise band, vocalists, the choir or any special musical
production, the goal is always that Jesus Christ be glorified.
The second purpose of our ministry is to provide opportunities
for God’s people to use their gifts. It brings our Lord
great pleasure when his people use what He has given them to
encourage others and glorify Him.
There are many different ways to use your gifts in the worship
ministry of FBC. If you enjoy singing, our choir is an
excellent place to start. We meet on Wednesdays at 8:00p,
and we always welcome new faces. Our praise team offers
the opportunity to use both vocal and instrumental gifts for
God’s glory. Our worship style is a contemporary blend of
modern worship with some wonderful songs from the past.
There are also many different events throughout the year that
may require special musical participation. Dramas are also
frequently used and provide yet another avenue for one to use
his or her gifts for God’s glory.
God has given each of us gifts to use for His glory.
Whether you are gifted in music or not, find a ministry in which
your gifts can be used for the Kingdom of God.
