First Baptist Church of Defiance has a striving youth group.
Our purpose is to help youth F.I.R.S.T. - help them Find God,
Interact with other Christian teens, Reflect Christ in their
lives, Serve others, and Triumph in their daily walk.
The most important part of youth group is
team effort. Everyone has a role and responsibility which
provides for an organized and growing ministry. Rather
than just attending youth group events, the students have a
large role in the decision-making and production of our
activities. They are given ownership of this ministry.
Not only does this facilitate the development of commitment and
leadership, it strengthens their personal and spiritual growth.
We invite all teens to Worship with us every Wednesday at 6:30p,
small groups on Sunday nights at 6:00p, and Sunday school at
9:30a which is followed by our general worship service. This is
our normal schedule for the fall; summer hours vary!
